One of our featured presenters will be Scott Rybny, Partner, Timoney Knox who will discuss the Restatement of Insurance.

The American Legal Institute is responsible for preparing the many Restatements of Law that courts around the country, Pennsylvania included, look to as persuasive interpretations of the law. It’s latest project, the Restatement of the Law of Liability Insurance, if recognized in Pennsylvania, may fundamentally alter the insurance law.

The Restatement, in its current draft, provides policyholders with greater ability to challenge policy language, claim settlements, application misrepresentations and defense obligations. Notwithstanding its liability focus, the broader insurance concepts will likely impact property insurance law.

We hope that you will join us at one of our group meetings!
