NAMIC/PAMIC Agricultural Risk Inspection School

PAMIC has partnered with NAMIC to provide this new Spring offering of the popular Agricultural Risk Inspection School, an intensive two-and-a-half-day program designed for loss control specialists, underwriters, managers and supervisors. Areas that are covered include the inspection process, farm machinery and equipment safety, electrical systems, confinement concerns, the latest in alternative energy sources, and more. One of the highlights of the school is the farm visit where attendees go through a hands-on inspection of an area farm.
CE credits
This course has been submitted to the Pennsylvania Department of Insurance for 18 Continuing Education Credits. To request CE Credits from other states, please call PAMIC at 717-303-0197.

Farm Machinery and Equipment Safety
The focus in this session will be on issues associated with machinery safety. Topics will include tractors with and without ROPS, proper installation and maintenance of SMV on farm equipment, inspection checklists for PTO shafts and drivelines, and an overview of farm injury statistics and the major causes of farm injuries and deaths.

The suggested dress code for this meeting is business casual. The dress code for the farm visit is comfortable and appropriate apparel for local weather conditions. Jeans, shorts, work boots, tennis shoes, and hats are all acceptable.
