The goal of the day will be to provide a multifaceted approach and different perspectives to the issues surrounding the Marcellus Shale gas rush in PA.
speakers
- Michael DiMatteo, PA Game Commission, Chief of Environmental Planning. Mr. DiMatteo will concentrate on environmental concerns and efforts to reduce the impact to State game lands.
- Joel Hopkins, Attorney, Saul Ewing. Mr. Hopkins will discuss legal and insurance coverage issues.
- Alan W. Ponder, Sr. Risk Engineer, Zurich Services Group. Mr. Ponder is an energy engineer from Houston, Texas. Mr. Ponder will bring a “been there, done that” perspective to the day.
- Barb Sexton, Manager, State Govt. Relations for Chesapeake Energy. Ms. Sexton is the former Executive Deputy Secretary for the DEP. Ms. Sexton will bring the “gas company” perspective to the seminar.
- Anthony J. Ventello, Executive Director, Progress Authority. The Progress Authority is an economic development organization in the Bradford County area. Mr. Ventello will concentrate on the impact to the community from an economic and social standpoint.
